Field Trip

When time and money allow, I go outside, live a little, and then come back to talk about it. I’m mostly drawn to typical city pleasures like art museums, live shows, coffee shops, record stores, the occasional festival or niche expo. I’m not great at giving a detailed play-by-play, but I won’t pass up a chance to talk about myself. It’s less about documenting every moment and more about letting the experience settle, then seeing what sticks.

Caffeinated isn’t just a list of coffee and tea shops I’ve visited, and it’s definitely not a review blog β€” it’s more like an ongoing experiment in tolerating real life. It’s me, my husband, and whatever version of myself shows up after two cappuccinos, trying to make sense of the outside world

Here’s what happens when I go out at night: nothing. I’m boring. But on the rare occasion I’m not boring, I’ve somehow ended up at a bar, or I got too into a show and now I’m out pretending I had plans. It’s not intentional β€” it just happens when I leave the house late and stay out for too long.

Adventures involving ordinary places I’ve traveled to during the day time. These places include: government buildings, post-offices, downtowns, bridges, stores, etc.
