Field Trip
When time and money allow, I go outside, live a little, and then come back to talk about it. Iβm mostly drawn to typical city pleasures like art museums, live shows, coffee shops, record stores, the occasional festival or niche expo. Iβm not great at giving a detailed play-by-play, but I wonβt pass up a chance to talk about myself. It’s less about documenting every moment and more about letting the experience settle, then seeing what sticks.
Caffeinated isnβt just a list of coffee and tea shops Iβve visited, and itβs definitely not a review blog β itβs more like an ongoing experiment in tolerating real life. Itβs me, my husband, and whatever version of myself shows up after two cappuccinos, trying to make sense of the outside world
Hereβs what happens when I go out at night: nothing. Iβm boring. But on the rare occasion Iβm not boring, Iβve somehow ended up at a bar, or I got too into a show and now Iβm out pretending I had plans. Itβs not intentional β it just happens when I leave the house late and stay out for too long.
Adventures involving ordinary places I’ve traveled to during the day time. These places include: government buildings, post-offices, downtowns, bridges, stores, etc.
