I’m scared of the dark. Not because I think demons are waiting to snatch my body. If they tried, they’d probably give up after realizing I’m allergic to everything and my tunnel vision is biology, not psychology.

I grew up where rats and roaches are extra squishy and pets nap in the middle of hallways. Light is a necessary evil.

That said, I had a good week. My body might be giving up on me, but at least this week was worth a flashback:

  1. Pixies Tour 2025 w/ Fazerdaze & Spoon
No title for the tour, no openers. Just Pixies, Fazerdaze, and Spoon. I’ve waited my whole life to see them, and my husband finally got us tickets at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. Perfect sound, perfect weather, and an on-time show that ended early. Exactly how I like it.
  1. Caught Stealing + Letterboxd
We caught the latest showing of Caught Stealing (no snacks, unfortunately). I’ve also started Letterboxd this year. So far I’m at eleven movies, with The Toxic Avenger lined up next week. Movies have become our way of relaxing and being where my husband feels most at home.
  1. We Bought Records
I’ve missed record stores. We didn’t make it to the Deftones listening party, so I asked my husband to grab a record instead. He got one too. I still don’t know why we never buy records at shows. Probably because tour shirts always win. Maybe next time. Or once I land this new role.
